Jason Barnaby

Senior Consultant

Jason Barnaby specializes in igniting sustainable change in individuals and corporations.  A 25-year veteran of the adult education world, he has taught in universities around the world—much of that alongside a 10-year career in the financial services industry. He believes that growth begins when we leave our comfort zones and subscribes unapologetically to the hashtag #comfortablebeinguncomfortable. He is passionate (some might say fanatical) about personal branding and believes we all have a brand–whether we are aware of it or not.

Jason fell in love with public speaking while running for president of his junior high after making his “stump speech” in front of the entire school. That experience sparked a desire to continue to seek the stage to entertain, challenge and empower audiences from coast to coast. While on stage, Jason’s “product” is actionable inspiration that is practical and easy to implement and help align his audience’s gifts, goals and talents with their daily life.

Jason is a native Hoosier and graduate of Indiana University. While there, he was a founding member of Indiana University Dance Marathon—a student-led organization donating to Riley Children’s Hospital for over three decades. Jason has been a professional ski bum in Colorado, lived in Europe for 8 years with his wife where they owned a coffee shop and he worked as a college professor before moving his family back to Indiana in 2004. For the majority of his time back in the US, Jason worked for a financial services company. HIs 10 year career spanned Learning and Development, Internal Sales, Field Sales Transformation and HR. He has also worked as an adjunct professor for DeVry University and University of Indianapolis.

Outside of professional pursuits, Jason is a devoted husband of over 25 years, a proud father of 3, a writer (author of two books), reader (more of an Audible fan, really), musician, singer, and serious coffee junkie.

“I was challenged at a leadership conference by TD Jakes who asked, ‘If you are a leader, whose permission are you waiting for to lead?’ The Catalyst Effect provides the tools and development to help every person (regardless of title) to step boldly into that quote and lead from wherever you are!”
